KEN CLARK

Now in his sixth year on the Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer coaching staff is Ken Clark. A native of Philadelphia, Clark is well known in the area soccer community after playing four years at Temple University (‘97) and prepping at La Salle High (‘93). Clark capped a stellar career in goal for the Owls as a senior during the 1996 season. That year he led the Mid-Atlantic region in saves (155), setting a new single season school record, and minutes played (1,798). He also posted a stingy 1.60 goals against average and was twice named Philadelphia Soccer 7 Player of the Week and also the Soccer America National Goalkeeper of the Week (9/29/96). He missed just 13 minutes of play during the year, helping Temple to a 10-win campaign. The Owls were nationally-ranked twice during the year (#19 and #25). A scholar, as well as an athlete, Clark was recognized as a Third Team Academic All-American. The 29-year-old earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Temple. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Bridget.
