AMHERST, MA - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team played to a scoreless 0-0 tie with Massachusetts today. It was the second consecutive tie for the Hawks, as they recorded a draw with Philadelphia University earlier in the week.

Sophomore Bryan Benedict recorded the first shutout of his career, making eight saves on the day, as the Minutemen outshot the Hawks, 14-3.

SJU is now 1-9-3 and 1-3-1 in the conference while UMass is 7-5-3 and 1-3-1 in the Atlantic 10.

UMass goalkeeper Zack Simmons made three saves on the day.

SJU continues its New England road trip facing Rhode Island on Sunday at 1 p.m.
