La Salle Defeats Men's Soccer, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team was defeated by La Salle, 4-1, in a Soccer Seven matchup on the road. The loss dropped the Hawks to 1-5, while La Salle improved to 2-3-1.

The Hawks jumped on the board first when Andrew Tursi scored an unassisted goal at 19:47. It was his first goal of the year.

La Salle countered in the 34th minute when Ryan Dougherty scored the first of his two goals in the first half. Jeremy Ortiz had La Salle's second goal, also in the first half.

Ryan Richter finalized the scoring for the Explorers at 53:05.

La Salle outshot the Hawks, 24-11, but Bryan Benedict came up with 10 saves for SJU.
