Men's Soccer Falls to Towson, 3-1

Towson, Md. - The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team fell to Towson, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon. Junior Colin Baker notched his first goal of the season in the second half to tie the game, but the Tigers would score two more for the win.

In the first half Towson put one into the back of the net when a series of passes from Marco Mangione and Chris Zecha, led to an open shot in the box for Tigers' Liam Maloney.

SJU tied the game in the second half when Baker, the Hawks leading scorer of the past two seasons, scored off a pass from junior Giacomo DiLisi. The Tigers regained the lead when Mangione scored his third goal of the season. Towson made it 3-1 when Tigers' Tommy Appel-Schumacher scored with 15:41 remaining.

Hawks' freshman goalkeeper Andrew D'Ottavi made five saves in the game. D'Ottavi has made 38 saves in five games played and has a .745 save percentage.

SJU (0-5) plays Stetson next in a road game at 7:30 p.m.
