Men's Rowing Heads to Competitive Head of the Charles Regatta

BOSTON, MASS. - The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team faces a highly-competitive field this weekend at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.

The Hawks' Varsity 8 will not only face some of the best college crews in the country, but some of the world's top competition. There will be boats from Germany, Denmark, Canada, Australia and France racing, as well as U.S. club teams which feature rowers from the U.S. Olympic Team.

This weekend, SJU's Varsity 8 lineup will consist of: cox Paul Leggieri (sophomore); stroke- Tim Foley (freshman); 7- Tim Strybuc (junior), 6- Jack Drewniak (senior), 5- Glenn Griffin (junior), 4- Dan Gallagher (sophomore), 3- Tyler Huck (freshman), 2- Ryan Huck (junior) and bow- Sean King (senior).

The lineup for the Hawks' Lightweight 8 is: cox Sarah Jost (junior), stroke Mike Gibel (junior), 7- Kevin Burrows (senior), 6- Adam Iaccio (junior), 5- Justin Gentile (freshman), 4- Brendan Hanna (freshman), 3- Mike Wingrove (senior), 2- Jordan Marwin (senior) and bow- Conor Malone (junior).
