INDIANAPOLIS, IN (4/24/04) - The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team turned in a brilliant effort on Saturday, advancing all five crews to the grand finals and claiming three medals against top-level national competition at the Indianapolis Invitational. Overall the men placed fourth in the points race, behind only Michigan, North Carolina and Purdue. SJU received gold medals from the Freshman 8 and Second Freshman 8 and a bronze from the Lightweight 8. The Varsity and second Varsity 8 each reached the finals placing sixth and fifth, respectively.
