CAMDEN, NJ.(4/28/01) - The Men's Rowing team competed in the Atlantic 10 Invitational on Saturday. The Freshman Lightweight 8 finished first in their event with a time of 6:46 over UMass, La Salle, and Rhode Island. The Varsity 8 had a hard fought second place. The V8 battled from behind from the 1000m mark and traded stroke for stroke with GW through the final 300m, being bested by GW by .04 seconds - a bow ball and almost 50 seconds ahead of Duquesne. The Novice 8 finished third behind URI and UMass and ahead of GW, Fordham, and Duquesne.
