PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's graduate Kevin Burrows has been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Star Team has selected by the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors (PhillySIDA).

Burrows was a member of the Hawks' Varsity Lightweight 8 that earned a bronze medal at the 2009 Dad Vail Regatta and was thhird at the SIRA Championships. He also rowed for the Second Varsity 8 that took first at the 2009 Bergen Cup.

A food marketing major who graduated with a 3.23 grade-point average, Burrows earned the team's Scholar-Athlete award this year. He was also named to the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
