June 4, 2007

PENNSAUKEN, NJ - Saint Joseph's men's rowing closed out the 2007 season at the IRA Regatta, the nation's oldest collegiate championship at the Cooper River.

The Varsity 4 advanced through the time trial on Thursday to compete in the C/D Semifinal. The Varsity 4 then advanced to Saturday's Fourth Level Final, finishing in fourth place ahead of Delaware and Ohio State in a hard- fought contest.

The Lightweight 8 finished fifth in the Petit Final after advancing through the heats on Saturday morning. The Lightweight boat was able to avenge the Dad Vail loss to Georgia Tech by besting the Yellow Jackets by 2 seconds.
