Men's Rowing Qualifies Five Crews for IRA National Championships

PHILADELPHIA - The Dad Vail champion Saint Joseph's University men's rowing team has qualified five crews for the prestigious 104th Annual Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships taking place June 1-3 on the Cooper River in Camden County, N.J. The Hawks will boast a large contingent of entires, including a Lightweight 8, Freshman 8, Varsity 4+, Varsity 4-, and a Varsity Pair, among the 198 crews from schools across the country competing at the famed collegiate rowing event. The Hawks' lineups for this weekend include Alex DiBiasi, Sean Flynn, Wayne Zimmer, Andrew Friedlander and Charlie Koob (cox) in the Varsity 4+; Jeff Schaetzle, Dan Fazio, Mike Leahy and Dan Lachant in the Varsity 4-; Adrian Gherca and Gavin Adams in the Varsity Pair; Jon Schneckenburger, Mike Wingrove, Sean Riley, Jack Drewniak, Larry Maher, Sean King, Jordan Marwin, Kevin Connors and Mark DelGuercio (cox) in the Freshmen 8; and Devlin Murdock, Joe D'Amato, Marc Mallott, Adam Stoll, Mike Santoro, William West, Steve Ramsey, Kevin Jacobs and Stephanie Gehringer (cox) in the Varsity Lightweight 8.
