PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team will defend its Bergen Cup title as the annual regatta takes place on Saturday, April 25 on the Schuylkill River, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Last year, the Hawks' Varsity 8 won its first title since 1978 to capture the Bergen Cup, which is representative of the city championship. Together with the SJU women's team, the Hawks put on a dominating performance winning 8 of the 9 events they entered.

SJU's lineup for the Bergen Cup is as follows:

VARSITY 8: Cx - Ryan Pawling, 8 - Ryan Huck, 7 - Glenn Griffin, 6 - Thomas Kresz, 5 - Dan Gallagher, 4 - Sean King, 3 - Jack Drewniak, 2 - Tyler Huck, 1 - Max Schipper

LIGHTWEIGHT 8 (rowing in 2nd Varsity event): Cx - Paul Leggieri, 8 - Matt Benedetto, 7 - Justin Gentile, 6 - Chase Powell, 5 - Kevin Burrows, 4 - Brandon Hanna, 3 - Conor Malone, 2 - Jordan Marwin, 1 - Sean Stewart
