Beginning his first season at Saint Joseph's University as Assistant Varsity Coach is Victor Marwin, a 2004 graduate of The George Washington University.

While at GW, Marwin stroked the Men's Varsity 8+ for three years and stroked the Men's Varsity Heavyweight 4+ that won Silver at the IRA National Championships in 2004.

Marwin has been a member of the Penn AC Rowing Team and the Undine Barge Club, with whom he won USRowing Nationals in the Men's Lightweight Single in 2003.

He began his rowing career in Buffalo, NY in 1995 at Canisius High School, where he was member of the freshman, lightweight and midweight eights that collected a total of 5 medals at the US and Canadian National Championships over the span of 4 years. His younger brother Jordan, joins SJU this year as well, as a member of the freshman crew.

In addition to coaching for the Hawks, Marwin is currently a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania and works full-time as a researcher in heart failure and cardiac transplant. He is applying to medical schools next year.
