SJU DOWNS CANISIUS, 12-10

BUFFALO, N.Y. (4/22/01) - Mike Pagliaro scored four goals and Randy McNeill added two goals and four assists to lead the St. Joseph's men's lacrosse team to a 12-10 win at Canisius. Tied at 5-5 at intermission, SJU talied four of the first five goals in the third quarter to take a 9-6 lead. The Griffs cut the margin to one, 9-8, with two goals at the end of the quarter. The Hawks regrouped to score the first two goals of the fourth quarter and then held off Canisius for the win. SJU, which won its third straight MAAC game, improved to 5-8 overall and 5-3 in conference play. Canisius dropped to 5-6, 2-5.
