Hawks to be Represented at World Lacrosse Championships

June 28, 2006

LONDON, ONTARIO - Saint Joseph's will be represented at the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships by Kevin McGrann (Italy) and Kyle Hofstaedeter (Netherlands). The tournament will take place from July 13-22 in London, Ontario.

McGrann, a Washington, DC, native and May 2005 graduate of Saint Joseph's, was a four-year letterman on the Hawks lacrosse team and was named 2002 MAAC Rookie of the Year. He was eligible for national team membership due to his mother and maternal grandparent's Italian citizenship.

Hofstaedter, a junior from Perkasie, PA, holds dual citizenship with the Netherlands. He did not play for the Hawks' varsity team in 2006 because he spent the semester studying abroad in Italy.
