PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior Peter Slowik has been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Men's Lacrosse Academic All-Area Team as selected by the Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors (PhillySIDA).

Slowik, a midfielder from Lafayette, N.Y., played in 13 games this season, tallying four points with three goals and an assist.

He is an accounting major who posted a 3.82 grade-point average, which was the highest on the squad for the second consecutive season. Slowik was also named to the All-MAAC Academic team and received the team's Vasquez and Academic awards this season.
