Erik Hotaling Named MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week
April 2, 2007 PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse sophomore goalkeeper Erik Hotaling was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, for the week of April 1st-7th, conference officials announced Monday. It marks the second straight week Hotaling has earned the honor this season. The Syracuse, NY native posted back-to-back games with 10 plus saves in wins over Manhattan and Providence last week. Against Manhattan, Hotaling totaled 12 saves, followed by 10 against Providence four days later. On the week, his save percentage was .611. Hotaling ranks second in the MAAC with a .667 save percentage in conference play for the season. Hotaling shares this week's honor with Brent Herbst, a freshman goalkeeper for Siena who registered 12 saves in their win over Manhattan.
