PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's Erik Hotaling was honored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Monday, who named him Defensive Player of the Week for the week of March 25-31.

The sophomore goalkeeper out of Syracuse, NY stopped 16 of the 21 shots he faced in Saturday's game, helping the Hawks earn a conference win over Marist. Hotaling allowed only 5 goals in the contest and played all 60:50 minutes of the overtime match up.

Also honored this week are Manhattan's Brian Murray, Offensive Player of the Week, and Matt Slane, Rookie of the Week. Hotaling will square off against the other two honorees in today's conference match up when the Saint Joseph's Hawks take on the Manhattan Jaspers at 3:00pm.
