Jimmy Bea Named Atlantic 10 Player/Rookie of the Week

Freshman Earns Fourth Weekly Award of the Year

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's freshman golfer Jimmy Bea capped a stellar fall season with a pair of weekly Atlantic 10 honors. Tying for first at last week's Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational, Bea earned his first A-10 Golf Performer of the Week and his fourth Rookie of the Week award.

Bea opened play with a two-under-par 68 at the 6,131-yard Seascape Golf Links, and followed up with a final-round 72 for a two round score of 140. His team-leading score also earned Bea a tie for the individual title.

Bea, who is the first SJU golfer to earn A-10 Golf Performer of the Week honors, previously won the conference's weekly rookie award on September 15, October 6 and October 27.
