PHILADELPHIA - A day after earning medalist honors at the Cornell Invitational, Saint Joseph's senior Billy Stewart was named the Atlantic 10 Golf Performer of the Week for week of September 19-25.

In Saturday's opening round, Stewart posted a -9 (63), setting a new course record at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, N.Y. Stewart finished Saturday atop the leaderboard following a second-round 71. On Sunday, Stewart coasted to the individual title, winning the medalist honor by four strokes with a three-round total of 212 (-4).

Stewart's performance anchored Saint Joseph's to the team title at the Cornell Invitational, besting the field of 15.

Through two tournaments, Stewart leads the Hawks in strokes, averaging a 71.6 shots per round.

Saint Joseph's, returns to action October 3-4 at the William and Mary/Joe Agee Invitational in Providence Forge, Va.
