GOLF TEAM PLACES 19TH AT GW

ISSUE, MD (3/28/04) - The Saint Joseph's University golf team shot a two-round 648 (325-323) to place nineteenth at the seventh annual GW Golf Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the par-72, 6,761-yard Swan Point Country Club. Sophomore Sean Seese carded a 156 (74, 82) over the two day and was SJU's top individual finisher, placing 43rd. Seese was followed by three freshman, including Jim Robertson (79, 79 - 158) who finished 55th, Ryan McCarty (86, 76 - 162) who was 73rd and Chris Reedman (86, 86 - 172) who placed 107th. Senior Tom Spano (89, 90 - 179) rounded out the five man contingent for the Crimson and Gray by placing 121st. The host Colonials won the event, while defending tournament champion Princeton finished second in the 24-team tournament. Lehigh's Nam-Kyu Park won the tournament with a six-under-par 138 (67-71).
