HAWKS' MCDERMOTT AND SEESE RECEIVE WEEKLY A-10 HONORS
PHILADELPHIA (09/23/02) - Saint Joseph's University junior Brian McDermott and freshman Sean Seese have been recognized as the Atlantic 10 Conference's Performer and Rookie of the Week in men's golf. The tandem tied for 13th place overall at the James Madison Invitational, shooting even-par (213) over 54 holes and helping SJU to a seventh place finish in the competitive 18 team field.
McDermott carded a pair of three-under par 68s to go with a 77, while Seese sizzled with a 69 in the opening round and followed that up with a par 71 and a 73, respectively.
McDermott and Seese are the second Hawks to be recognized in each category this season. Freshman Billy Stewart was recognized as both Performer and Rookie of the Week for the week ending on September 9.
