LEESBURG, VA (10/29/01) - Coming off its most sucessful tournamnet finish in two years, the Saint Joseph's golf team placed 15th in the 16 team field at the Georgetown Invitational. Junior Paul Polinsky (76, 74 - 150) led the Hawks' contingent in the squad's final event of the fall, finishing 17th in the individual standings. Overall, the squad finished with a two-day total of 639 at the Lansdowne Resort Course. In addition to Polinsky, rounding out the Hawk lineup were sophomore Brian McDermott (86, 77 - 163, T-62nd), senior J.P. Glynn (82, 83 - 165, T-70th), junior Jeff Huntzinger (82, 83 - 165, T-70th) and senior C.J. O'Connell (82, 85 - 167, T-76th) . Penn State dominated the tournament field, winning the event with a score of 582. SJU's fall season is now complete. The team will resume invitational competition in the spring.
