GLYNN LEADS SJU TO EIGHTH PLACE FINISH AT GOLDEN HORSESHOE INVITATIONAL
WILLIAMSBURG, VA (03/27/01) - Junior J.P.
Glynn shot a two-day total of 148 (73,75) to lead
St. Joseph's to an eighth place finish at the
Golden Horseshoe Invitational, hosted by
William and Mary. The Hawks were just eight
shots off the pace and in fifth place after the first
day, but scored a 323 as a team on Monday to
slip to eighth
In addition to Glynn, the Hawk quintet on the
links included junior C.J. O'Connell, sophomores Jeff Huntzinger and
Mike Bosica and freshman Brian McDermott. Huntzinger (75, 80 - 155)
finished in a tie for 21st place overall. McDermott (76, 83 - 159) tied for
36th, O'Connell (80, 85 - 165) placed 63rd and Bosica (82, 86 - 168)
finished 70th.
Overall, Richmond (298, 294 - 592) overcame William and Mary (296,
308 - 604) on day two to capture the overall crown.
SJU returns to the links next weekend to compete in the George
Washington Invitational
