Hawks Stand in Eighth Place at Old Dominion Golf Invitational

KITTY HAWK, NC - The Saint Joseph's golf team stands in eighth place after the opening round of the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational Monday afternoon.

As a team, the Hawks posted a four-man score of 292 at the par-70 course. Winthrop University holds the team lead after posting an opening-round score of 273.

Individually, senior Phil Arouca led the Hawks on Monday with an even-par 70, tying for 17th place in the 92-person field. Juniors Colin Corrigan and Bob Cunningham each posted score of 73, while sophomore Steve Hudacek carded a 76. Junior Garret Basalyaga rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 87.

The final round begins Tuesday morning.
