Hawk Golfers Tied for 16th at ODU/Seascape Invitational

KITTY HAWK, NC - The Saint Joseph's golf team shot a 308 in the first round of the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational Monday afternoon. The Hawks tied for 16th alongside Drexel following the first day of action at the par-70 course.

Individually for Saint Joseph's, freshman Josh Webb led the way, carding a score of 73 to tie 24th place. Hawks' sophomore Zach Smith is currently tied for 43rd place after shooting 75, while senior Colin Corrigan posted a score of 78 and is tied for 67th. Saint Joseph's junior Steve Hudacek and Erik Mitchell rounded out the five-man squad as both posted scores of 82.

Wofford College leads the 21-team tournament after the first round of play with a score of 283, while Wofford's Neil O'Briain and Richmond's Jordan Utley are tied for the individual lead at 67.

The final round of play begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
