Hawk Golfers in 14th Place After Opening Round of ODU/Seascape Invitational

NORFOLK, Va. - Led by sophomore Jimmy Bea's five-over-par 75, the Saint Joseph's golf team is in 14th place after the opening round of the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational.

As a team, the Hawks shot 324 at the par-70, 6,131 course. They trail first-place Old Dominion by 26 strokes.

Bea posted SJU's best round of the day, tying for 10th place. Patrick Devlin is tied for 52nd-place at 81, while Zach Smith shot 82 to find a tie for 59th place. Tyler Mefford carded an 86, while Kyle Sargis rounded out the five-man squad with an 88.

ODU's Eric Onesi leads all golfers after an opening-round 69.

Final round commences tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
