Hawk Golfers Tie for 11th at Hoya Invitational

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The Saint Joseph's golf team carded a final-round 311 at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational on Tuesday to finish tied for 11th. As a team, the Hawks posted a two-round score of 309-311/620 to finish tied for 11th alongside James Madison. Individually, senior Zach Smith led the way for SJU, tying for 20th overall with a score of 74-76/150. Classmate Bill Macknis posted a two-round score of 76-77/153, while junior Jim Ridgway carded a score of 77-79/156. Sophomore Kyle Sargis and Andrew Jaskel rounded out the five-man squad with scores of 82-79/161 and 88-82/170, respectively. UNC Greensboro won the team title with a score of 586, while Washington State's Hank Frame earned medalist honors with a score of 143.
