Hawk Golfers Place Ninth at Georgetown Invitational

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Saint Joseph's golf team placed ninth in the field of 12 at the Georgetown Intercollegiate Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Member Club at Four Streams course (par-71).

As a team, the Hawks carded a two-round score of 297-318/615 to finish ninth. Miami of Ohio won the team title with a two-round score of 590.

Individually, Saint Joseph's freshman Jimmy Bea paced the club, finishing tied for fourth with a score of 74-73/147. Sophomore Jim Ridgway finished tied for 27th with a score of 69-84/153, while senior Steve Hudacek finished a stroke behind with a score of 76-78/154. Sophomore Josh Webb (162) and freshman Kyle Sargis (163) rounded out the five-man squad.

William and Mary's Doug Hurson won medalist honors with a score of 143.

Saint Joseph's caps its fall schedule next Monday and Tuesday at the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational.
