Hawks Place Ninth at Big 5 Golf Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's golf team placed ninth out of the field of 15 at this weekend's Big 5 Invitational at the Philadelphia Cricket Club (par-71).

As a team, the Hawks posted a two-round score of 313-308/621 and jumped one spot from Saturday's opening round to finish ninth overall. Columbia University won the team title with a score of 591.

Individually, senior Chris Reedman and freshman Cole Willcox tied for 24th place. Reedman posted scores of 75-78/153, while Willcox carded a 78-75/153. Hawks' sophomore Steve Hudacek tied for 44th after posting a two-round score of 78-82/160, while senior Phil Arouca and junior Colin Corrigan both tied for 55th place with scores of 82-79/161 and 85-76/161, respectively.

Columbia's Chris Arkin and Chris Arkin tied for medalist honors with scores of 146.

Saint Joseph's returns to action Sunday and Monday, October 21-22, at the Georgetown Hoya Classic.
