Hawk Golfers 12th After First Day of James Madison Invitational

HARRISONBURG, VA - The Saint Joseph's golf team stands in 12th place after the opening two rounds of the James Madison Invitational.

The Hawks posted scores of 292-290/582 in the opening day of play at the Lakeview Golf Club (par 71). Rutgers holds the team lead at 556.

Individually, junior Billy Stewart is tied for third after posting a a score of 68-70/138. Rutgers Brett Pittman holds the individual lead at 69-65/134.

Collin Corrigan posted 73-72/155 for the Hawks and Sean Seese finished at 72-74/146. Garrett Basalyga and Bob Cunningham rounded out the team, both posting two-round scores of 155.

The final round resumes Sunday at 9 a.m.
