Hawks Place Eighth At Agee Invitational

PROVIDENCE FORGE, VA - The Saint Joseph's University men's golf team moved up two spots to finish in eighth place at the Joe Agee Invitational, hosted by the College of William and Mary. The Hawks, who stood in 10th place after the opening two rounds, posted a final round score of 310 today at the par 72, 6967 yard, Royal New Kent Golf Club.

As a team, SJU posted a three round score of 303-303-310/916. Rutgers won the team title with a score of 871. Host William and Mary finished second (877), while Towson placed third (881).

Individually, junior Billy Stewart finished in a tie for eighth place, posting a three-over-par 75 in the final round. He finished the tournament with a four-over-par 72-73-75/220. Towson's Alex Brueggmann earned medalist honors with a three round total of 67-72-75/214.

Junior Sean Seese finished in a tie for 32nd with a score of 79-74-76/229. Freshman Collin Corrigan posted a score of 75-76-79/230, while sophomore Jim Robertson posted a 77-80-88/245. Freshman Ryan McCarty rounded out the five-man team with a total of 84-84-80/248.

Saint Joseph's returns to action this weekend, beginning October 9, at the James Madison Invitational.
