SJU Golf Team Places 14th at Frank Landrey Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Saint Joseph's men's golf team shot 307 and 321 in Tuesday's final rounds to finish in 14th place at the Frank Landrey Invitational. As a team, the Hawks carded a score of 310-307-321/938 at the par-72, 7,081-yard Spring Creek Golf Club. Individually, sophomore Jimmy Bea tied for 17th place, finishing with a five-over-par 74-73-74/221. Senior Zach Smith tied for 56th place with a score of 76-79-80/235, while classmate Bill Macknis tied for 70th at 83-76-85/244. Junior Jim Ridgway shot 81-85-82/248, with classmate Josh Webb not finishing play. Richmond won the team title with a score of 866, as the Spiders Sam Beach earned medalist honors with a score of 213. Saint Joseph's returns to action this Saturday and Sunday at the big 5 Classic.
