Hawk Golfers in 12th Place After Opening Round of Frank Landrey Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Saint Joseph's men's golf team posted a four-man score of 310 and are in 12th place after Monday's opening round of the Frank Landrey Invitational at the par-72, 7,081-yard Spring Creek Golf Club. The Hawks' sophomore Jimmy Bea is currently tied for 19th after shooting a two-over-par 74.

SJU senior Zach Smith shot 76, while junior Josh Webb carded a score of 79. Junior Jim Ridgway and senior Bill Macknis rounded out the five-man squad with scores of 81 and 83, respectively.

Richmond currently holds the team lead with a score of 292, while two are tied atop the leaderboard for the individual lead after shooting one-under-par 71.

The final round will conclude Tuesday morning.
