Senior Phil Arouca earned All-Conference honors with a tie for seventh place.
 
 
Arouca Earns All-Conference Honors; Hawks Place Sixth at A-10 Golf Championship

WINTER GARDEN, FL - Saint Joseph's senior golfer Phil Arouca earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors as he helped the Hawks to a sixth place finish at this weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship. Playing at the Orange County National Golf Center, Arouca carded a three-round score of four-under-par 212 to earn his second All-Conference honor.

As a team, the Hawks posted a three-round score of 299-287-297/883 on the par 72, 6,837-yard Panther Lake course. Saint Joseph's finished just eight strokes behind fourth-place Richmond (875), while Charlotte claimed the team title with three-round score of 824.

Arouca earned his second All-Conference accolades of his career, carding three straight rounds under par, posting a score of 70-71-71/212. He is the first Hawks since Billy Stewart earned All-Conference honors in 2005. Prior to joining the Hawks in 2005-06, Arouca earned conference honors as sophomore at La Salle.

Senior Chris Reedman earned a tie for 22nd place with a score of 73-72-76/221, while junior Colin Corrigan finished with a score of 79-70-77/236 to tie for 34th. Playing in his first A-10 Championship, sophomore Steve Hudacek tied for 44th with a score of 77-77-76/230, and senior Ryan McCarty finished in 46th place after carding a three-round score of 83-74-74/231.

Charlotte's Matt Mincer earned Player of the Year honors as the medalist with a score of 64-70-68/202, while teammate Corey Nagy earned Rookie of the Year accolades after tying for third with a score of 71-68-69/208. Charlotte head coach Jamie Green was tabbed A-10 Coach of the Year.
