Golf in Fifth Place after Two Rounds of the Atlantic 10 Championship

WINTER GARDEN, FL - The Saint Joseph's golf team moved up to fifth place on Saturday at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship, turning in a team score of one-under par 287 for the round. The Hawks finished Friday's round in seventh place with a 299, and their two-day combined score of 586 places them 35 strokes behind clubhouse leader Charlotte (551). The 49ers, the defending champions, lead Xavier by one stroke heading into the final round on Sunday.

Junior Colin Corrigan carded the low score for the Hawks on Saturday, turning in a two-under par 70. One stroke behind was senior Phil Arouca with a 71. Arouca's two-round total of 141 leads the squad by four strokes and places him eighth overall. Classmate Chris Reedman shot an even-par 72, leaving him in a tie for 18th.

The final round of the Championship will take place Sunday morning at the Orange County National Golf Center's Panther Lake course. The first tee times are slated for 8:00 a.m.
