Golfers Tie For 10th At Rutherford Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The Saint Joseph's golf team finished in a tie for 10th place following today's final round of the Penn State Rutherford Invitational. After posting a score of 592 on the first day of action, the Hawks posted a score of 299 today for a three round score of 891 at the par 72 Penn State Blue Golf Course. Host Penn State won the team title with an 843. Individually, junior Sean Seese finished in a tie for 13th with a three-round score of 73-68-75/216. Classmate Billy Stewart shot 76-71-71/218 to finish in a tie for 20th. Ryan McCarty posted a score of 76-76-76/228 and freshman Colin Corrigan finished with a score of 74-78-77/229. Chris Reedman rounded out the five-man squad posting a score of 84-78-77/239. Maryland's John Eades won the tournament's medalist honors with a score of 69-67-64/200. Saint Joseph's will return action Friday through Sunday, May 6-8 at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Newport, Rhode Island.
