Hawk Golfers Place Eighth at Dayton Invitational

DAYTON, PA - The Saint Joseph's golf team posted a score of 321 in Tuesday's final round of the University of Dayton Invitational, finishing eighth place in the field of 12 teams. The Hawks posted a three-round score of 956 at the par-71 NCR South Course.

In Monday's opening two rounds, Saint Joseph's carded scores of 312-323/635, finding itself in sixth place after the opening day. Today, the Hawks posted a score of 321 to finish with a three-round score of 312-323-321/956. Wisconsin-Green Bay earned the team title with a score of 925.

Individually, senior Chris Reedman tied for 16th place with a three-round score of 74-81-82/237, while classmate Phil Arouca posted a final scorecard of 82-80-77/239 to earn a tie for 22nd. Freshman Zach Smith, seeing his first action of the spring, shot 80-80-82/242, while senior Ryan McCarty finished a stroke behind at 81-83-79/243. Saint Joseph's junior Colin Corrigan rounded out the five-man team with a score of 87-79-83.

Bowling Green's John Powers earned medalist honors with a three-round score of 76-79-71/226.

Saint Joseph's returns to action this weekend, April 28-29 at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate in Akron, Ohio.
