ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Saint Joseph's golf team placed 12th at the 18-team field of the Navy Spring Invitational in the Hawks' final tune-up for next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championships. As a team, SJU posted a score of 299-310/609 to finish tied for 12th, but just seven strokes behind third-place Navy (602).

Individually, junior Zach Smith set the tone for the Hawks, carding a score of 74-74/148 to finish tied for 13th place, while freshman Jimmy Bea finished two strokes behind (72-78/150) and finished tied for 21st. Freshman Andrew Jaskel tied for 45th with a score of 77-78/155, while senior Steve Hudacek and sophomore Josh Webb tied for 54th with scores of 76-81/ 157 and 77-80/157, respectively.

Johnson and Wales captured the team title after posting a two-round score of 579, while Binghamton's Trevor Fielder earned medalist honors with a score of 71-71-142.

Saint Joseph's caps its season this weekend, April 24-26, at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
