Hawks Place Fourth at Princeton Golf Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - The Saint Joseph's golf team placed fourth in the field of 15 at this weekend's weather-shortened Princeton Invitational. The Hawks posted a two-round score of 300-294/594 in Saturday's opening two rounds as Sunday's final round was called off due to inclement weather at the Springdale golf Club. Individually, senior Phil Arouca led the way for the Hawks posting a score of 77-70/147 to tie for ninth place. Saint Joseph's junior Colin Corrigan finished a shot behind Arouca with a score of 74-74/148 to tie for 17th, while senior Chris Reedman tied for 24th with a score of 75-74/149. Senior Ryan McCarty tied for 29th at 74-76/150, while Sophomore Steve Hudacek rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 78-78/156. Individually, Princeton's John Sawin earned medalist honors with a score of 138, while St. John's University won the team title with a score of 583. Saint Joseph's returns to action April 23-24 at the Dayton Invitational.
