LAHAINA, HAWAII - The SJU men's basketball team arrived in Maui on Friday afternoon and continued their preparations for the opening game of the 2008 EA Sports Maui Invitational on Monday, November 24. The Hawks will face 7th-ranked Texas at 10 a.m. Hawaii time (3 p.m. EST).

The Hawks were greeted at Kahului Airport by schoolchildren from St. Joseph's School in Makaweo, Hawaii. The children and teachers made the half-hour trip to welcome the Hawks to their island. During Saint Joseph's unbeaten season in 2004, St. Joseph's School joined the vast national following of the Hawks.

The team practiced Friday at Lahainaluna High School and will do so again on Saturday. SJU will get its first look at the Lahaina Civic Center on Sunday morning.
