PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's athletics mourns the passing of former basketball player Dave Pfahler, who was a member of the Hawks from 1966 to 1969.

A native of Allentown, Pa., Mr. Pfahler played for the Hawks' squad which captured the Big 5 title in 1968 and the Middle Atlantic Conference tournament championship in 1969. He averaged 10.1 points per game as a starter his senior season.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at the O'Donnell Funeral Home (908 Hanover Ave., Allentown, Pa.) at noon. A gathering of family and friends will also be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon.
