The Saint Joseph's cheerleading teams offer a physically challenging program with a wide range of opportunity for the student body. The program consists of cheer teams with co-ed and all-girl positions available. We provide rigorous training and conditioning for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Our main purpose is to promote school spirit within the student body and alumni at men's and women's basketball games. We travel with the teams to home and most away games, the Atlantic 10 Championship and the NCAA Tournament. SJU cheerleaders have competed at the NCA National Collegiate Cheerleading Championships for the past 10 years. The team plans to travel to compete in the UCA Universal Cheerleaders Association National Cheerleading Championships in January 2008. Competition team selections take place at the spring tryouts.
