Andrew Cossetti and a two-run single by
Brendan Hueth cut the deficit to 5-4 after two.
• The visitors tacked on four more in the third, while the Hawks got one in the bottom of the inning on a home run by
Tim Cavanaugh.
• The teams traded home runs in the fourth, with Danny Melnick hitting a three-run shot and
Nate Thomas hitting his third in as many days, a solo shot, to make it 12-6.
• Saint Joseph's (2-1) would tack on another in the fifth on a groundout by Cossetti, but the Bobcats scored four in the sixth and two in the eighth to put the game effectively out of reach.
•
Paul Kokol finished off the scoring for SJU, hitting a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the ninth.
