Saint Joseph's senior Jim Slover will serve as a student assistant coach on Tom Turner's staff for the 2007 season. Slover, a three-year veteran of the men's soccer team, will lend his experience to the young Hawk squad while sitting out with a medical redshirt.
Slover started 22 games in his SJU playing career, scoring two goals and tallying one assist in 2005 for five career points. He was twice named to the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Slover is a graduate of La Salle College High School, and led the soccer team to two Catholic League finals and a #17 national ranking in his senior year. The 21-year-old hails from Southampton, PA, and is majoring in finance.
