PHILADELPHIA - The official groundbreaking celebrating the expansion of Saint Joseph's University's Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse, and a dedicated center for men's and women's basketball, will take place on campus on Saturday, October 6 at 2 p.m.

Among the participants in the ceremony will be University president Timothy R. Lannon, S.J.; Paul J. Hondros, chair of the Board of Trustees; Michael J. Hagan, member, Board of Trustees; director of athletics Don DiJulia; men's basketball coach Phil Martelli; and women's basketball coach Cindy Griffin.

Saint Joseph's alumni and supporters are invited to attend the ceremony, which will be held in front of Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
