Jan. 2, 2007 PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's will ring in the New Year with a men's and women's basketball doubleheader at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on Wednesday, January 3. The Hawk women's team will take on rival Villanova at 6 p.m., followed by the men's team against Duquesne in the Atlantic 10 opener at 8 p.m., or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's game. • Saint Joseph's women's basketball game notes The SJU women's team is 6-6 on the season while Villanova owns a 6-7 record. The audio and video streaming of the game will be available on Hawks' All-Access at www.sjuhawks.com. The Saint Joseph's men's team is coming off a win over Boston University in the consolation game of the Aeropostale Holiday Festival last week. The Hawks are currently 7-5 while Duquesne owns a 4-7 record. The men's game will be broadcast locally on WHAT (1340 AM) with the audio and video streaming also be available on Hawks' All-Access at www.sjuhawks.com. The last time the two SJU teams played a doubleheader was in the season opener on November 18, 2006, when the men defeated Lafayette and the women beat Princeton. |
