Located in East Norriton, Pa, East Norriton Field has served as Saint Joseph's University's home softball field for the past 14 seasons. Prior to its move to East Norriton Field, Saint Joseph's used nearby Belmont Plateau as its primary field.
The Hawks have posted an impressive 127-62-2 record at East Norriton Field. Twice, Saint Joseph's has posted 17 wins at the field, going 17-5 in 1995 and 17-4 in 1997. In 2003, the Hawks posted a perfect 10-0 record at East Norriton. Saint Joseph's began play at East Norriton Field during the 1994 season, winning its inaugural doubleheader on March 26, downing Mount St. Mary's 10-2 and 16-2. Saint Joseph's would go on to post a 10-2-1 record in its first year at East Norriton Field.
Since then, the Hawks have been a power on their home field, posting 12 winning seasons, including a 11-4 mark in 2008.
Besides being the home for many of Saint Joseph's top players over the recent years, East Norriton Field is also the site of the program's first perfect game - a 3-0 win over Rhode Island tossed by Christina Kowalski on April 3, 1999 - and its most recent no-hitter - by Lauren Cognigni in a 2-1 win over Rhode Island on April 20, 2007.
Saint Joseph's University acquired the Maguire Campus in the Fall of 2008, and a new softball field will be constructed there for the future. Until completion, the Hawks will continue playing at East Norriton Field.
