The Saint Joseph's softball team returns to action this weekend as the Hawks head to Washington, D.C. to take part in the District Classic at Georgetown starting with a doubleheader on Friday.

Offensive Leaders: Carly Rybinski (.500 average, one run batted in, .667 slugging, .600 on-base percentage, two stolen bases), Taryn Grober (.444 average, two runs scored), Molly Kapala (.313 average, five runs, one home run, four RBI)

Leading Pitchers: Amanda Herr (2-0, 1.91 earned run average, six strikeouts, four walks, 18.1 innings), Ashley Ventura (2-1, 2.38 ERA, 14 strikeouts, 10 walks, 17.2 innings)

Last Time Out: The Hawks opened the season going 4-1 at the Diamond 9 Citrus Blossom Classic two weeks ago. Saint Joseph's opened with four consecutive wins before dropping a thrilling extra innings affair to Troy that saw the Hawks rally in the bottom of the seventh to extend the game. Going 2-0 on the weekend with a 1.91 ERA, rookie pitcher Amanda Herr was recognized for her strong collegiate debut as she was named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week.
