Each week, Saint Joseph's University will recognize one of its student-athletes for their outstanding performances on the playing field. Below is the list of weekly award winners for 2018-19.
August 20, 2018 - Paige Bergman (Women's Soccer): Helping the Hawks to a pair of wins in their season-opening weekend, the senior defender also added a pair of assists to become SJU's all-time leader in assists (19), surpassing the previous mark held by SJU Hall of Famer Ellen Stenrud.
August 27, 2018 - Tonya Botherway (Field Hockey): The rookie scored the opening goal of the season for the Hawks in their season-opening win over Monmouth and tallied the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at American.
September 3, 2018 - Anna Willocks (Field Hockey): The senior forward was named the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week after scoring the lone goal in the Hawks’ 1-0 win at ninth-ranked Delaware.
September 10, 2018 - Zach Michon (Men's Cross Country): Named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, the SJU junior led the Hawks to a third-place team finish in a field of nine squads at the highly-competitive 2018 Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational as he turned in an eighth-place individual finish in a field of 92 racers.
September 17, 2018 - Grace Bendon (Women's Soccer): The Hawks' senior goalkeeper set a new program record for career wins (24) in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Cornell.
September 24, 2018 - Tonya Botherway (Field Hockey): Helping the Hawks to wins over James Madison and Massachusetts, the SJU rookie totaled three goals and two assists in earning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.
October 1, 2018 - Tonya Botherway (Field Hockey): The SJU rookie helped the field hockey team go 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play on the week as she scored four goals and added an assist.
October 8, 2018 - Anna Willocks (Field Hockey): Tallying four goals and two assists in a pair of Hawk wins, the senior set a new program mark for career goals as she collected the record-setting 68th in SJU's victory over Temple.
October 15, 2018 - Anna Willocks (Field Hockey): Earning A-10 Player of the week honors, the senior tallied three goals in leading the Hawks to a pair of conference wins.
October 22, 2018 - Grace Bendon (Women's Soccer): Posting a pair of shutouts on the week, the senior goalkeeper earned A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
October 29, 2018 - Zach Michon (Men's Cross Country): The junior led the Hawks with a 10th-place individual finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, garnering All-Conference accolades.
November 5, 2018 - Field Hockey Team: The Hawks captured their second consecutive Atlantic 10 title and earned the conference's automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament.
November 12, 2018 - Tonya Botherway (Field Hockey): The rookie forward scored two goals for the Hawks in their NCAA Tournament matchup with #8 Michigan.
November 19, 2018 - Charlie Brown (Men's Basketball): The junior forward averaged 23.3 points per game and garnered both A-10 Player of the Week and Co-Big 5 Player of the Week.
November 26, 2018 - Charlie Brown (Men's Basketball): Brown posted a career- high 37 points at William and Mary, with 23 points coming in the first half alone.
December 10, 2018 - Lamarr Kimble (Men's Basketball): Averaging 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game over two contests, Kimble earned A-10 Co-Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
December 24, 2018 - Lamarr Kimble (Men's Basketball): Kimble finished with 15 points, including the game-winning three-pointer in a 45-42 win over Loyola Chicago.
December 31, 2018 - Katie Mayock (Women's Basketball): The SJU rookie averaged a double-double, 10.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, in a pair of SJU matchups on the week.
January 7, 2019 - Nathaniela Bourdeau (Women's Track): The A-10 Performer of the Week won the 200m title at the Wagner College Invitational and placed second in the 60m.
January 14, 2019 - Alyssa Monaghan (Women's Basketball): The senior captain averaged 20 points per game and reached the 1,000-point mark for her career versus Saint Louis.
