STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field squad turned in six IC4A-qualifying performances - five individual and one relay - at the unscored Villanova Invitational, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Saturday evening.

The Hawks have had the pieces to run a 4x400m relay that could go 3:19.90 - the IC4A standard - and SJU finally accomplished the feat on Saturday as freshman Sebastian Eaton, freshman Stephen McClellan, senior Dan Ferraiolo, and sophomore Trae’ Robinson put together a time of 3:18.22 to qualify for IC4As. The Hawks edged out Villanova’s top squad by .46 seconds and finished just .57 seconds behind Georgetown.

Sophomore Zach Michon had already qualified for IC4As in the 1000m and mile entering Saturday's meet as the only Hawk to meet IC4A qualification in multiple individual events. On Saturday, he added a third. In his first collegiate 3000m race, Michon went for 8:16.62 to earn a third-place finish in a field of 18.

Senior David Henderson ran the first open race of his senior campaign on Saturday. The senior recorded a collegiate-best indoor 400m time of 48.71, good for sixth place in a field of 32. The time meets IC4A qualification as Henderson becomes SJU’s first sprinter this indoor season to qualify for IC4As.

Senior Steve Thompson ran the fastest indoor open 800m of his collegiate career, crossing in an IC4A-qualifying time of 1:52.02 for second in his section en route to a sixth place in a field of 35. Dylan Eddinger joined Thompson in meeting the IC4A-qualifying standard in the 800m; the junior registered a collegiate-best indoor time of 1:53.45 for 11th overall.

Senior Collin Crilly won his section in a season-best mile time of 4:14.39, good for an eighth-place finish in a field of 30 alongside IC4A qualification. The time marks Crilly’s third-fastest mile for his career.

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Seniors Kevin Dorsey and Jake Durante-Koller placed second and third in their first collegiate indoor 5000m races to lead the Saint Joseph’s men’s track and field squad at the unscored Frank Colden Invitational, held at Ursinus College’s Floy Lewis Bakes Center on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks recorded five top-five finishes on the day.
